This is a web application
that does not require any software installed on the users computer it is cloud
based application (except Flash).
The log in Controls the
mentee and the mentor – as well as having an administration function for the tutors.

It is intended that the dashboard for the administrator will quickly show how students are performing and if the individual relationships are proving fruitful – much in the way that e-bay does for transactions.

The Scheduler
Is the primary view – This enables diary, meeting and task management – as well as web cam collaboration and chat functions. Complete logging of all the interactions is automated to ensure the appropriate amount of contact from all parties is adhered to. Once an interaction is completed tasks and interaction reporting is required in order to log off.

Other views are:
collaborative notes
This view is where students and mentor can collaborate on documents and specifics of long documents, this is real time enableing video, voice and typing at the same time

White Board
Enables diagrams and more image based collaboration. The intention is that images can be uploaded and discussed real time.

File share
Allows files to be shared between mentor and mentee and modified off line and then uploaded for future use. This area is only visible between the mentor and mentee and the administrator – it is their own shared space for documents

Will show administrator a
dashboard of all interactions and a star rateing of both parties view of the
benefit of the interaction.
A matchmaking module for
setting up the ‘mentor and mentee’ based on their skills and requirement.
A comments field to interact
with mentor and mentee to add comments and recommedations.
